Our Cheeseboard Chutney has a unique combination of sweet and tangy flavours, along with the added fruitiness and spices.
The red currants and sultanas add a burst of fruity flavour to the sweetness of apples and dates. Addition of garlic, cayenne pepper, allspice and ginger provides a warm and aromatic taste. Cider vinegar gives a tangy acidity that balances out the sweetness of the fruit and sugar.
The Cheeseboard Chutney is a great accompaniment to cheese. The sweetness of the chutney can balance the sharpness of the cheese, while the tanginess of the chutney can cut through the richness of the cheese, providing a great contrast of flavours.
