Spiced Butternut & Chickpea Pie is a delightful vegan pie that combines a variety of flavours and textures.
It offers a satisfying combination of naturally sweet butternut squash, hearty chickpeas, slightly bitter spinach and tangy tomatoes. A mixture of Indian inspired spices gives this pie a delightful depth of flavour.
We first sauté onions and garlic with the mixture of spices until they are soft and fragrant. We then add butternut squash and sauté it until it is tender and caramelised. We add tangy tomatoes and sweet coconut milk. Chickpeas provide a hearty element to the pie and are a great source of protein. Spinach adds a vibrant green colour and is full of nutrients.
The filling is added by hand to shortcrust pie bases which we make following our special recipe. Each Spiced Butternut & Chickpea Pie is then hand finished with a puff pastry lid.
We then bake our pies until they are golden brown so they are ready to eat when the arrive to you.
All our pies are baked to order and are delivered chilled by post.

Storage
Keep refrigerated, below 5°C.
Suitable for home freezing. Freeze within use by date and use within 6 months. Thaw thoroughly before heating. Once defrosted do not re-freeze.
Heating
Ready to Eat or may be heated.
To heat: Remove packaging. Preheat oven to 200°C/Gas mark 6. Heat for 20 mins or until piping hot.
